Kathakriti is a pure cotton kurta hand-painted in the Kalamkari tradition of Andhra Pradesh. The motif is mythological — a temple procession unfolding in horizontal panels across the cloth: white bulls leading the way, divine figures, decorated elephants, musicians in procession. Cream and crimson on a deep black ground, with fine detailing that rewards a second look.

The silhouette steps back so the painting can speak. Straight cut, relaxed, deep side slits, a bold Kalamkari border at the hem. This is a kurta that carries a civilisation's visual memory and still works for a Tuesday at the office.
