This is a reverse glass painting from western India, made by a Chinese artist.
The background shows a terrace, behind which there is a line of trees, visible in the distance. In the foreground is a carpet with delicate floral patterns. A canopy with red floral patterns covers a prostrating lady and nandi (bull). The bull is caparisoned with a blue saddle with floral patterns and on its back is an utsava murti, or portable shrine, which would typically house a figure of Shiva. The fineness of the drawing and the soft palette dominated by blues, whites and reds reflect Chinese influence.
