While a vast majority of reverse glass paintings in India depicted subjects from Hinduism, as they were created in South India, a few focused on other subjects. This rare reverse glass painting from central India shows the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, a Sufi tomb of the revered saint Moinuddin Chishti located at Ajmer, Rajasthan.
The inscription on the top reads "Ajmer Sharif" in Urdu.
