This work stages a tense conversation between restraint and eruption: a pale, plasterlike field holds its breath while a dense, midnight tangle of marks swells at the center like accumulated memory refusing to stay quiet. Around it, blocky intervals of red, ochre, and teal behave like architectural fragments—orderly, almost civic—yet they are repeatedly pierced by flickering micro-gestures that feel improvised and intimate. The composition reads as a map of competing systems, where geometry promises stability but the nervous, calligraphic core insists on lived complexity, turning the surface into a record of both construction and unraveling.
