An incarnation of Vishnu, Lord Dhanvantri is the God of Ayurvedic medicine. People pray to him to ask for good health. In two of his hands, he holds a conch and a discus, just like Vishnu. In the other two hands, he holds a pot of 'amrita' (a rejuvinating nectar of the gods), and a leech. Intricately carved, this sculpture is made using the lost wax process.
