Vishnu, the Preserver or the Protector, is one of the three deities in the Great Trinity of Hinduism, along with Shiva and Brahma. The followers of Vishnu form one of the main denominations in Hinduism, called Vaishnavism. Statues of Vishnu usually depict him holding the conch shell (shankha), discus (chakra), mace (gada) and lotus (padma). This statue of Vishnu is exquisite in its craftsmanship. Made of bronze using the lost wax process, the sculpture has an antique finish.
