Lord Ganesha or Vinayaka is a Hindu god worshipped at the start of ceremonies and rites, as he is considered to be a remover of obstacles. He is also considered a patron of the arts, and hence, is often depicted in a dancing posture, like in this sculpture. This exquisite and intricately detailed sculpture is made using the lost wax process.
