This work unfolds in quiet horizontal strata, where earthen siennas and smoke-dark umbers drift into one another like sediment laid down by time and weather. A faint, luminous band near the upper register suggests a distant horizon or memory of light, while the lower field deepens into a velvety, near-opaque hush that anchors the composition with gravity. The softened edges and brushed veils create a sense of suspended motion—an atmosphere rather than a place—inviting contemplation of impermanence, erosion, and the slow reconciliation between presence and disappearance.
