Varaha or Varaham is an avatar of the Hindu God Vishnu, who takes the form of a boar to rescue Bhudevi or goddess earth. This bronze sculpture depicts the four-armed Varaham resting his foot on a serpent head. Intricately carved, two of his hands are shown holding the Sudarshana chakra (discus) and shankha (conch shell), while Bhudevi sits on one of his arms. This exquisite sculpture is made using the Lost Wax Process.
