A hand-tufted shaggy carpet in red β long pile built up in dense, textured loops. Shaggy carpets sit at the opposite end from flatweave: the pile stands tall, typically 2-3 inches, creating a soft, plush surface. The tufting technique punches yarn into a backing and finishes from above, building depth and weight. Made in Bhadohi or Mirzapur by carpet artisans working in the Uttar Pradesh tufted carpet tradition. The red reads saturated and bold, the long pile catches light and shadow. Suited to low-traffic areas where softness and texture matter more than durability. Synthetic or blended fibers, long pile.
