Thali with Peacock - 02

This is a Deccan repoussé, chased and engraved brass thali or platter with a stylised displaying peacock depicted in the centre. In the concentric band towards the outer edge of the platter are repeating peacocks in profile. The other concentric bands surrounding the peacock, are beautiful intricate petal and floral designs that culminate in a fluted outer border. A handmade brass holder has been specifically made for this thali so it can be hung on the wall.
