A hand-woven wool dhurrie with herringbone structure in multicolor β the diagonal weave pattern rendered in flatweave construction across the field. Dhurries are the practical choice in Indian floor covering: lighter than knotted carpets, woven flat without pile, easier to move and clean. The herringbone sits at an angle to the edge, the chevron lines built up in the warp and weft rather than knotted in pile, giving the surface a directional grain you can see and feel. Woven in Bhadohi by weavers working in the Uttar Pradesh tradition. The multicolor palette β blues, reds, yellows, greens β reads graphic rather than busy. A flatweave with no pile, 100% wool.
