Koorathazwan (Kuresa)

This old Mysore School painting depicts the Vaishnavite saint Koorathazwan (also known as Kuresa). He was the chief disciple of the great Vaishnavite acharya Ramanuja, and assisted Ramanuja in all his endeavours. The frame is beautifully shaped, adding to the beauty of the piece.
